PEC POD SNEZKOU
Pec pod Snězkou is niet alleen bekend als het startpunt voor de klimroute naar de Snězka, de hoogste berg van de Tsjechische Republiek, maar is ook bekend als een actief alpine resort, p[en in zomer en winter. Pec pod Snězkou heeft voordeel van haar geografische ligging en haar hoogte ute (800 - 1602 m boven zee-niveau). Meer dan 5 a 6 maanden is zij bedekt met sneeuw. De weercondities, gelijk aan die bij de poolcirkel, verrassen vaak de bezoekers van Pec pod Snězkou. In de vallei met de steile wanden beneden het Snězka complex, vindt U in het centrum van het stadje en nabij de skihellingen meerdere kabelbanen, skiliften, hotels, pensions, zwembaden, discos, restaurants .
Het ski-resort, dat het grootste is in de wijde omgeving, heeft een vier chairlift en 10 andere liften met een capaciteit van 9630 personen per uur en er zjn 9 km aan downhill hellingen van verschillende moeilijkheidsgraden. Deze hellingen zijn erg populair bij volwassenen en kinderen wegens de grote keuze, variërend van trainingsweidjes tot uitdagende afdalingen.
In de avond-uren zijn er 3 skiliften met kunstlicht operationeel. de belangrijkste is Javor, de langste en best-verlichte van heel Tsjechië. Bezoekers hebben toegang tot alle plaatsen in het resort d.m.v. een magnetische kaart. Voor de snowboard-enthousiastelingen is er een groot funpark. Crosscountry skiërs (langlaufen) kunnen gebruik maken van de Reuzengebergte Trail, die in perfecte conditie wordt gehouden door permanent onderhoud |

2009: Pec pod Sně¸kou is known not only as a starting point for the climbing route to Sně¸ka, the highest mountain in the Czech Republic, but also as an active alpine resort, open both in the summer and winter. Pec pod Sně¸kou benefits from its geographic position and its altitute (800 - 1 602 m above sea level). Over 5 to 6 months of the year it is covered with snow. The weather conditions, similar to those near the polar circle, are often surprising to visitors of Pec pod Sně¸kou. In the steep-sided valley below the Sně¸ka complex, services ranging from a cableway, ski lifts, hotels, lodging houses, swimming pools, discos and restaurants in the town centre and near the ski slopes all are provided.
The ski resort, which is the largest in area, operating 1 four chair lift and 9 ski lifts with a transport capacity of 9 520 persons/hour and arround 10,5 km of downhill slopes of varying degrees of difficulty. The downhill slopes are particularly popular with families and children because of the wide range of choices, with range from training meadows to challenging runs. In the evening hours, 3 ski lifts with artificial lighting are in operation-one of which is Javor, the longest and best illuminated downhill slope in the Czech Republic. Visitors are provided access to all places in the resort by means of a single magnetic card. For snowboarding enthusiasts, a large funpark is available season-long.
